Regular price $599.00 AUD
Will this fit my Jimny?

This product fits both JB74 3 door & JC74 5 door Jimny's.

Introducing our brand new MG-X Pro Front Recovery points for both the JB64/JB74 3 door and JC74 5 door Suzuki Jimny - these are the strongest rated and certified recovery points ever made for the Suzuki Jimny platform worldwide.

These recovery points (along with the matching MG-X Rear Recovery Points) took us over 10 months worth of research and development to get the design absolutely perfect and to ensure their strength rating is completely unrivalled by any other Jimny recovery point on the market - by a long margin.

We designed them in house by using CAD (CAE design procedures & FEA simulation) and have been put through the very long and expensive process of certification and destruction testing by a third party NATA approved engineering company, to confirm that our recovery points will hold up to literally anything that you put them through.

These may be extremely overkill for our beloved Jimny's, but it's always better to be safe than sorry - especially when it comes to recovery points.

Info & Specs:

  • Made using a 5 axis CNC machine.
  • Made entirely from billet forged mild steel - 300 MPa Metal Strength
  • M12 12.9 Hardness Countersunk bolts included.
  • Minimum 20mm thickness on both recovery point and mounting bracket.
  • 8mm radius edged opening (Soft Shackle compatible).
  • Weight: Approx. 6.5kg per side including brackets/fasteners
  • Installation time - Approx. 15 minutes per side. Fully bolt on, no additional parts need to be removed or modified to fit these recovery points.
  • Steering components/mounting points do not need to be tampered with for fitment for our recovery points.

Third Party Certification and Testing results:

MG-X Pro Drivers Side (RH) recovery point - WLL 5,000kg:

Failure at 96kN - 9.8 tones of force applied

(Certificate Number: NAAE1256)

MG-X Pro Passenger Side (LH) recovery point - WLL 6,000kg:

Failure at 119.6kN - 12.2 tones of force applied.

(Certificate Number: NAAE1257)

Both recovery points failure reason: Bolts snapped - Both tested recovery points are still fully intact (and on display at our shop if you'd like to check them out!).

This means that if by a miracle, your Jimny's chassis is still in one piece after that amount of force is applied, the recovery point would still be attached to your Jimny due to how our recovery points attach to the welded-in tube sections featured on your Jimny's chassis from factory.

Only 1mm of deformation was found at the eyelet end after testing (the part where you'd attach your snatch strap/recovery gear to).

FEA (CAD Finite Element Analysis) results: Software calculation results show both recovery points themselves still being unbreakable for over 20 tones (20kn~) of direct force.

Considering the weight of a Jimny is between 1,050-1,220kg depending if its a JB74 3 door or JC74 5 door, your Jimny's chassis will tear off long before our recovery points even come close to breaking.

Please note:

  • Will fit both 3 door JB64/JB74 and 5 door JC74 XL/Nomade Suzuki Jimny's - RHD Only
  • Will fit Jimny's fitted with ARB Summit bull bars - may not fit all bull bar configurations.
  • Compatible with larger/quick disconnect aftermarket sway bars
  • Price includes both left and right hand side recovery point sets - not sold individually.
  • Engineering documents, photos and more information are available on request.

Always remember:

Vehicle recovery is an inherently dangerous activity. Although we've designed these recovery points to the best of our ability, incorrect use of recovery equipment can result in serious injury, death, or damage to vehicles and property.

Always ensure all the equipment you use is rated correctly, installed properly, in good condition and used only in accordance with safe recovery practices.

It is always recommended to use both recovery points with an equalizing bridle when recovering your Jimny. The user accepts all responsibility for the safe selection, installation, and operation of this product. If you are unsure about any aspect of vehicle recovery, seek professional guidance.
