Introducing the MG-X Battery Earth Extension to fit both JB74 3 door and JC74 5 door Jimny's.
What does it do and why you might need one:
A commonly overlooked aspect of the Jimny’s electrical system is its use of a smart alternator, which monitors battery current through a clamp on the negative terminal.
In it's stock form - it works completely fine, however voltage issues begin when adding electrical accessories to the OEM earth connection - particularly for accessories like winches/light bars that need heavier negative cables running directly back to the battery.
Having everything attached to the negative battery terminal can make the Jimny turn on or off the alternator's charge prematurely. By moving all the additional accessories to the other side of the alternator sensor, this allows the car to read the batteries true voltage and without any interference, ensuring it's charged/discharged properly.

- Additional M8 and M6 holes have been added to ensure a clean installation of additional earth cables
- Includes an additional M8 bolt, washers and nylon lock nut
- Installation time: Approx. 5 minutes - Tools required: 12mm and 13mm spanners/sockets.
- Mounts are completed in a 150 grit orbital sander finish
